an update from our vegetable garden..........
to say the cucumbers have taken over is an understatement! note to self, do NOT plant cucumbers in a raised bed unless you want it to wrap around and kill everything else. we've tried to keep them under control and the cucumbers are definitely starting to grow!
We recently harvested our first "mild" banana pepper.... it was HOT HOT HOT but we chopped it up and put it in some vinegar and it turned out delicious!
the tomatoes have also done well... we have five heirloom plants that are growing some nice green tomatoes... i cant wait for them to ripen, I can already taste 'em! we also have a cherry tomato plant that has literally hundreds of little guys on it! mmmm, can't wait! here's a pic of one of the heirlooms...
A few more weeks and I should have some more to show ya! come by anytime for some fresh produce and herbs!
woo hoo!! yes, next year, the cucumbers must be by themselves. time out for those naughty things.
