a summary of the last week......
the garden is in full bloom! we have radish, broccoli, okra, many pepper plants, lots of tomato plants, zucchini, pumpkin, watermelon, lettuce, strawberries, parsley, mint, sugar snap peas and green beans all planted... phew we are in for it this summer!
tim got a kamado joe smoker for his 30th birthday and is in love with it (really though.... he is obsessed! :) the inaugural smoke was baby back ribs and I have to say he did an incredible job with them. i made our favorite summer salad to accompany those yummy ribs.

katelyn had a big week.... she learned how to kick a soccer ball, hang on the rim and pray (we teach just the essentials around here folks:)

her friend ruthie came over for dinner
she started sitting in her bumbo play seat

she doesn't hate tummy time as much as she used to
and she went to Ft. Worth with me for a wedding

while in ft. worth katelyn met one of my old babysitters
Ms. Howard holds a special place in my heart. She was pretty much my only babysitter from birth to preteen years and I have always loved being with her. She is now 93 years old but you would never know it. While visiting with her Mom and I ran into a baby boutique and left her in my Mom's suburban while Katelyn slept. When we came out, Ms. Howard had CLIMBED THROUGH to the back so she could be closer to Katelyn. She travels all around the globe and is currently looking for a doctor who will actually do a cornea transplant on a 93 year old... amazing. Thank you for all of the time and love you poured into me Ms. Howard!
It has been a busy week but a great week!
yummy ribs and salad!
ReplyDeleteand such CUTE pics... Keep up the praying and sports, Katelyn! :))
