DEEP IN THE HART

Today was one special day... our little Katelyn turned ONE! We had a wonderful day together. We were even blessed with warm enough weather to get outside a little bit (Katelyn's favorite)! Here's a recap of the day.

Woke up very happy bouncing around her crib. Came downstairs to find Storm in a birthday hat (which katelyn thought was HILARIOUS... what a good sport! :)

The singing Elmo balloon was a HUGE hit... we heard it so many times today that we will probably have his birthday song stuck in our heads until her second birthday! :)

She got a radio flyer wagon from Tim and me... her first ride was a success!

Did I mention this girl LOVES to be outside?! She is very into going down the slide by herself...

Perhaps because she knows Daddy will be there to catch her at the bottom!

Getting ready for her birthday party and watching the end of the KU vs MU game. Katelyn cheers when anyone makes a basket and says "uh oh" when they miss. It amazes me how quickly kids learn!

A special cupcake just for KG!

As you can see, she was not so sure about the birthday song... she sat as still as I've ever seen her sit!

She started to pick at her cupcake and then Daddy broke it up a little for her so she could get some bigger bites. At that point she started to eat it and seemed to enjoy it but didn't devour it. She ate less than half of it and then was ready to go play.

One of her favorite new toys from Carrie and Avery.... we are going to have FUN on that car!

Today was filled with all things that Katelyn loves. We had such a wonderful day! Thanks to Grandma for making the trip to be with us as we celebrate. Thanks to our family and friends who have loved and poured into Katelyn over the last year. It's so hard to believe our little girl is ONE. We are praising God for 365 days with this precious one. We don't take a single one of them for granted.
